Round 2, may 1st

Detroit Red Wings - Anaheim Ducks  1
The Ducks eliminated the President Trophy winners San Jose Sharks, which is quite an accomplishment, and they are in great shape right now. They didn't get the system going during the season, and some changes were made in their lineup, but right now they are a well-structured team with great special teams. Key players that have to stand out are Getzlaf, Perry, Pronger, these are the game changers I think, of course we have Selanne and Niedermayer, but gamechangers? No, wouldn't say they are, but threats definetly. The Detroit Red Wings are without a doubt the best team in the world right now, easily said. And they have a stack of quality players in their lineup, Zetterberg, Datsyuk, Hossa, Lidstrom, Rafalski should be considered as their key players which will definetly have major roles in the series.
Predicting the outcome of the series is hard, but I think the Red Wings are a far better team than the Sharks, and the Ducks won't be able to play in the same way they did. My best bet is Detroit in six games, with a flying start tonight. I'm playing it fairly safe and say that a 4-2 outcome for the Red Wings could be the outcome...

Boston Bruins - Carolina Hurricanes   1
I'm still amazed over the effort and the excitement from the Hurricanes - Devils series, they way they came back the last minute in New Jersey, is still in my head, couldn't beleive it. But I have to and the Hurrcanes are a good team which will definetly make life hard for the Bruins. Key players should be Staal, Brind'amour, Cole, Corvo, Ward, and they definetly need to bring theyr A-game against the impossible Bruins. This year's Boston Bruins are in my book the only team that can challenge Detroit in seven games. Key players like Chara, Wideman, Savard, Ryder, Bergeron are anxious to win the cup and will without a doubt win this series. The depth in this team is comparable to the Red Wings I think, but there's one big difference, goaltending, Tim Thomas is amzing and Osgood is only great.
Predicting the outcome for this series is not the hardest thing to do, the Bruins will take it in six games, there will not be seven games, count on that. Tonight the Bruins will open up with a couple of goals ahead, but then invite the Hurricanes for a period, but close it in third. 3-1 is my best bet...
