Time for new betting-season

The season has gone about 20 rounds at the moment, and now it's alot easier to predict games and goalscorers compared to the first rounds, the teams have found their system, their game.

I will now use my unbeleivable skill to predict games, goalscorers and gamebreakers..

Welcome to a new season of NHL-betting!

Vacation

There was definetly one exciting Stanley Cup run, but all things end, unfortunatly.

Im definetly looking forward to the next season, where Philadelphia and Boston are big-time contenders for the cup in my opinion.

Until the late of september, im on vacation..

Round 2, may 1st

Detroit Red Wings - Anaheim Ducks  1
The Ducks eliminated the President Trophy winners San Jose Sharks, which is quite an accomplishment, and they are in great shape right now. They didn't get the system going during the season, and some changes were made in their lineup, but right now they are a well-structured team with great special teams. Key players that have to stand out are Getzlaf, Perry, Pronger, these are the game changers I think, of course we have Selanne and Niedermayer, but gamechangers? No, wouldn't say they are, but threats definetly. The Detroit Red Wings are without a doubt the best team in the world right now, easily said. And they have a stack of quality players in their lineup, Zetterberg, Datsyuk, Hossa, Lidstrom, Rafalski should be considered as their key players which will definetly have major roles in the series.
Predicting the outcome of the series is hard, but I think the Red Wings are a far better team than the Sharks, and the Ducks won't be able to play in the same way they did. My best bet is Detroit in six games, with a flying start tonight. I'm playing it fairly safe and say that a 4-2 outcome for the Red Wings could be the outcome...

Boston Bruins - Carolina Hurricanes   1
I'm still amazed over the effort and the excitement from the Hurricanes - Devils series, they way they came back the last minute in New Jersey, is still in my head, couldn't beleive it. But I have to and the Hurrcanes are a good team which will definetly make life hard for the Bruins. Key players should be Staal, Brind'amour, Cole, Corvo, Ward, and they definetly need to bring theyr A-game against the impossible Bruins. This year's Boston Bruins are in my book the only team that can challenge Detroit in seven games. Key players like Chara, Wideman, Savard, Ryder, Bergeron are anxious to win the cup and will without a doubt win this series. The depth in this team is comparable to the Red Wings I think, but there's one big difference, goaltending, Tim Thomas is amzing and Osgood is only great.
Predicting the outcome for this series is not the hardest thing to do, the Bruins will take it in six games, there will not be seven games, count on that. Tonight the Bruins will open up with a couple of goals ahead, but then invite the Hurricanes for a period, but close it in third. 3-1 is my best bet...

Quarter Finals - April 26th

New York Rangers - Washington Capitals      X
This series has definetly been a rollercoaster, with spectacular goals aswell as saves. The Rangers has been playing pretty well at times, but when the Caps with AO and Backstrom is on fire, it's hard to stop them. The Rangers know that they only have one chance left in this series, and this is it. Because Washington on home-ice will definetly be way too difficult. My money will go for a draw with fairly medium goalscoring. The chance for Rangers is to keep the game close and tight, referring to goalscoring, then this could be their game.. 3-3?

Carolina Hurricanes - New Jersey Devils      X
Carolina is a really good and well-balanced team. The Devils are also a very well-balanced one, this is why this series is extreamly close. If Brodeur has an incredible night, which he usually do, he's not human, then the Devils always have a shot at the W even if they play like shit. I like New Jersey alot, so therefore I say that this game could go their way, but the Hurricanes are great on home-ice so it could go either way. With the last game going very close to or a draw, my prediction is that a draw is highly likely. Low-scoring.. 2-2?

March 28th

Pittsburgh Penguins - NY Rangers    1X
Two very solid teams right now, they are both fairly confident aswell. They're in the playoffs and will want to build a good feeling coming in. I would say this could be a draw-game with a slight edge to the Penguins because of their playing the last 20 games or so. Home ice is also a factor..

Nashville Predators - LA Kings    1
The Kings have been playing on the road alot the last couple of weeks, no exception tonight. These two teams are very much alike, good offense with poor defense. But the Preds should win this game..

Toroto Maple Leafs - Boston Bruins    X2
Toronto played a pretty good game last night against the Sabres from Buffalo, but a very unfortunate goal for the Sabres decided the outcome. But coming back with a lone goal difference from 4 up is pretty strong. This will be a exciting game which could turn out with alot of scoring, but the Bruins are a better team and will probably win this one..

Montréal Canadiens - Buffalo Sabres    X
Two teams with decent playing the last weeks, the Sabres beating the Maple Leafs last night was a relief for them. This is why I think they could put up a very good battle tonight against the Canadiens. Look for goaltending to be a huge factor in this one. I say draw..

New Jersey Devils - Carolina Hurricanes    1
The Devils lost in OT last night and will wanna come out on top from the first minute, they want this win pretty bad is my feeling. The rejuvenated Hurricanes with Staal isn't going to die quickly though. But the home-ice factor will be a huge factor tonight, aswell as Brodeur. Devils, 4-2 perhaps..

NY Islanders - Philadelphia Flyers    X2
The Islanders won against Detroit last night, pretty much surprised the whole hockey-world I would say, including me then. I would never have thought they could beat the Red Wings on the road, amazing. So then, should I take this in my considerations about tonight's game against the Flyeres? Of course, but the Flyers are a far better team and in any normal game they should win. But the Islanders could have been given a boost from last night and if they get an early goal and play tight they could win this one. But I would bet my money on the Flyers anyway, if they take the lead this is. The first team to score will be the winner is my conclusion..

Atlanta Thrashers - Ottawa Senators    2
The Senators ahve been playing just amazing hockey since Clouston took over the chair. And my gut says to me that they will win this one. But it won't get easy because Kovulchuck & Co are a fierce bunch right now, and Lehtonen on fire, this could easily be a game in their favour. If the Sens get a few powerplays goind, and they score, probably Alfie or Heat, they will win. The start of the game will be decisive I think. Ottawa with the lone goal difference I say..

Dallas Stars - Florida Panthers    X
Hard nut to crack the Stars are, haven't given me any joy lately. They need to build a new team, even though Modano and Turco still are amazing, but that's a fact, if they wanna win the Cup that is. I pick a draw on this one because of both team's ability to score if they're down..

St. Louis Blues - Columbus Blue Jackets    X2
The Blues are hot, the Blue Jackets are way hot. I like the new, fresh team from Columbus and I would put my money on them tonight, maybe with a draw at first though. But they are efficient and could win this game with a couple, Mason in the back is as usual spectacular to watch.

Calgary Flames - Minnesota Wild    1
Two very, very solid teams in the goal. I think this will be a story of low-scoring periods. 6 goals very tops in the game. The edge is to the Flames favour..

San Jose Sharks - Phoenix Coyotes    1
The Sharks are tired of loosing to the Coyotes, which they did the last time. And they are hungry for that Presidents Trophy. But I always underestimate Phoenix and probably do it tonight aswell. But the basic fact is, the Shark Tank is alot heavier then some Coyotes. They will take it..

March 27th

Washington Capitals - Tampa Bay Lightning   1
These two teams have played each other four times this season, all with victorious Capitals (with more than two goal difference aswell!). And this game should be no exception, the Caps should and will win this game..

Buffalo Sabres - Toronto Maple Leafs   X
The gap between these two teams has shrunk the last weeks, much because of solid play from the Maple Leafs, but also lack of finesse from the Sabres. As I've said before, Toronto are world-class when it comes to playing draw games, this could be the outcome in this game aswell. A certain advantage to Sabres because of home-ice, but the Maple Leafs don't care about this, and want their point..

Detroit Red Wings - NY Islanders     1
This game is tonight's easiest bet, the power house of Red Wings are a way better team than the Islanders, and if they want that Presidents Trophy, they must win games like these. A two goal difference in the win I'm almost certain about..

Chicago Blackhawks - New Jersey Devils   X2
The Blackhawks were playing really bad hockey a few weeks ago, but they have surprised me with stepping up and are showing strenght. But these are the Devils we're talking about and shouldn't be underestimated in any kinda of way, the Devils are, as I've said before a big contender to the Cup. Tight game with few goals, power-play will decide, I say draw but with a reservation to a OT win for the Devils..

Colorado Avalanche - Vancouver Canucks   X2
The Canucks are a team of Strenght right now, piling up victory after victory. And they should win this win. But everytime I've bet against the Avalanche, they've been playing some solid hockey, so I'm not confident, but they do have that slight edge of sharpness which should show in the result..

Anaheim Ducks - Edmonton Oilers   1
The Ducks have been a huge let-down this season, but haven't given up the chance for a playoff birth, probably the reason they have been tough to beat the last few games. Im feeling the Ducks tonight, but the Oilers are a proven draw-team, which is also likely to occur. Slight edge to Ducks though..

March 17th

New Jersey Devils - Chicago Blackhawks   1
Two very good teams with more than solid deffense, but one certain goalie want's to get that ever-so-sought record, most wins by any goalie than ever before in other words. Martin Brodeur will give it his best, which most of the time is not human. The Devils are a big contender for the Cup, and Chicago with lots of upsets lately shouldn't win this one..

Montréal Canadiéns - NY Rangers  X2
Two fairly low-scoring teams with fairly sold defenders, Canadiens have an edge here I think. But the Rangers have been better the three last games and the team want's a another road-win, Lundqvist have to play his "King Henrik" game if they want to leave Montreal with a W. Expect a very tight game with shoot-out outcome..

Ottawa Senators - Buffalo Sabres  1
My favourite team from Ottawa have been playing some beauful hockey lately, based from last game in Pittsburgh they should this one. The Sabres lost to Atlanta last game, and they will expect a rejuvenated Sens-team. My heart says that Ottawa will win this one, much because of trend, but also the lacking of offensive players from Buffalo..

Pittsburgh Penguins - Atlanta Thrashers  1
Close game, two teams with high spirits, the Penguins because they want to reach the playoffs, and the Thrashers because they have new team and they want to build for next year, sadly. But if I have to pick a winner the Penguins is my definite choice, Malkin is going to score a couple, i just feel it..

Tampa Bay Lightning - Toronto Maple Leafs  X
These teams have been battling each other alot lately, and a draw could be a likely outcome. Much because that the Leafs are world-class at this. But also because it's risky to pick a winner, but I also know this, Lecavalier is tired of loosing..

Florida Panthers - Washington Capitals  X2
I've been disappointed in the Caps the last few weeks, they haven't seem to pick up the game they showed in february. The Panthers have home-ice and this will streanghten them, but Ovechkin want's his number 50 and will definetly do anything in his power to overcome this..

Detroit Red Wings - Philadelphia Flyers  1
The Red Wings are determined now, they want that President Trophy this year again, and a away-win against Columbus (4-0) shows strenght. The Flyers with Hartnell, Gagne, Carter and Timonen are a very effective team, but Zetterberg and Datsyuk in power-play could be crucial. Detroit will win this one..

Minnesota Wild - Colorado Avalanche  1X
These two teams have been playing alot of draws lately and this could continue but this night I think that the Wild will pick up a win without overtime, wich is unusual, seems like they always play draw, could be the excellence of Backstrom in some cases..

Edmonton Oilers - St. Louis Blues  X
None are teams under my radar but I detect that a draw could be the case. Both are fairky boring teams in my book with a slight edge to the Blues. If I have to pick a winner I would pick the Oilers but I don't, I pick a draw..

Vancouver Canucks - Dallas Stars  1X
Do you remember last year, in the playoffs, theses teams were not the bestest friends. And they will continue to remain apart. This game could be the game of the night, my gut says that this will be a high-scoring game but the names of Turco and Luongo says otherwise. A small favour to the Canucks, but only based on the latest perfomances where they have been playing strong on the road. Possible draw, with an edge to Canucks are my picks..

Phoenix Coyotes - San Jose  X2
The Coyotes have been real busy during the trading-days, only seen highlights of Lombardi, Prucha, Dawes, so my opinion is very objective on this game. But what I know is that the Sharks are a great team and it's easier to pick them instead of Phoenix, I think you can agree on that one..

March 12th

Boston Bruins - Ottawa Senators = My favourite team from Ottawa collide with my second favourite team from the beautful city of Boston, it really is. This game should be an eventful one, just because the Bruins have lost a few games the last couple of weeks and that the Sens have won four in a row now. Even though the Sens are on a streak, and they have changed their play completely, I have alot of respect for the Bruins. I hope for a tie but my gut says that Boston will take this one, but Alfie and the rest will put up a good battle..

Buffalo Sabres - Florida Panthers = Two teams that are in the race for a play-off spot, two fairly solid teams both defense and offense. But I feel Vanek and Roy won't give up this game that easy against one of their main competitors. The Sabres should and likely will take this one, but a OT or SO could determine the outcome..

Detroit Red Wings - Calgary Flames = This game could be the two teams left in the western conference in may, both teams have solid players all through their rosters. This is why I think a draw could be the case. Detroit have been piling up upsets lately and the Flames have been on a tough roadtrip the last week, I pick a draw, 3-3....

New Jersey Devils - Phoenix Coyotes = The Devils are a far, far much better team than the Coyotes, with that said there's no doubt they should win this one. But the Coyotes have some new players and I haven't seen their game since the trade-deadline so there's some kind of risk here to pick the Devils as blunt as I do, but I'm willing to take that risk, because the chance is far to big to not take it. Brodeur won't give up more than one goal, and Elias with Parise & Co will definetly score more than 3 goals..

Philadelphia Flyers - Washington Capitals = This game could be the nights bright-spot, just because of the fact that there are so many highly-skilled players on the ice, maybe not on the defense, but the offense is stacked. Ovie, Semin, Backstrom, Green, Carter, Hartnell, Gagne, Timonen, Kozlov, Fedorov, prehaps Briere, need I say more? I'm a bit curious on how the Caps react after some upseting losses, but I pick a draw with many goals, 4-4...

Columbus Blue Jackets - Pittsburgh Penguins = The Blue Jackets have a new exciting team with rookie-sensation Steve Mason in the goal, and with Nash, Huselius, Vyborny & Co they will improve the next seasons, for sure. But the Penguins with Crosby, Malkin, Gonchar, and new-comer Guerin will put up a fight. This will be a tight game, I'm sure of it. 3-3 or 4-4 is my picks..

Montreal Canadiens - NY Islanders = Montreal are a far better team than the Islanders and should win, they need this win in the race for a play-off spot. I pick the Canadiens as the winners..

Toronto Maple Leafs - Tampa Bay Lightning = The Maple Leafs are solid in Air Canada Center and should win this game, after what they've shown the last 5 games. But the Lightning are tired of losing now, (OT loss tonight against Senators), and are not in the mood for a big upset. I pick a draw game, once again this night, but Toronto should win this one..

Nashville Predators -NY Rangers = Close game, tight game, those two phrazes should summarize the outcome, which will be 3-3, with reservation for a high-scoring game, even though Lundqvist is in the goal. A draw here, once again...

Dallas Stars - Carolina Hurricanes = The Hurricanes has played amazing hockey lately, their streak ended last night against Chicago, but they got a point though. Dallas are a solid team but could be alot better on their defense, but Turco makes up for their lacking at times. I'm very uncertain what to believe concerning this game, but I feel a draw could be the case, 4-4. I know this is a very safe way to say I'm not sure but picking a winner here is hard, I would like to have seen the teams last few games before picking the winner, but I haven't so a draw is my best bet on this one...

St. Louis Blues - San Jose Sharks = The tank for San Jose is the better team, but the Blues have home-ice and they, despite their lacking in the standings, have a fairly decent defense so this should be a low-scoring game. But Thornton, Blake & Co are too strong and skilled to lose during regulation..

Colorado Avalanche - Minnesota Wild = The Avalanche are a mystery for me this season, everytime I bet against them, they win so I'm uncertain on how they play. But they have some good players offensively and if they have a good night, they could win against any team. But the Wild have Backstrom in goal and won't die that easy. I pick with confidence a draw on this one..

Edmonton Oilers - Atlanta Thrashers = Two boring teams with not a single chance of winning the cup this year, this is why my research is a bit weak when it comes to these two. The Oilers have a pretty good team, but they seem to lose alot of close games anyways. And the Thrashers mix good games with horrible ones. Easy to pick the Oilers I guess, but if Kovalchuk is on his toes, there could be a high-scoring game with a draw as the outcome..

Summary of my bets

Boston - Ottawa 1x
Buffalo - Florida 1
Detroit - Calgary x
New Jersey - Phoenix 1
Philadelphia - Washington 1x
Columbus - Pittsburgh x2
Montreal - NY Islanders 1
Toronto - Tampa Bay 1x
Nashville - NY Rangers x
Dallas - Carolina x
St. Louis - San Jose x2
Colorado - Minnesota x
Edmonton - Atlanta 1

11th of March

Ottawa Senators - Tampa Bay Lightning = The Senators have been playing some solid hockey lately, much because of the firing of coach Hartsburg. Now the team have come together with the aquirings of Comrie, Campoli, and Leclaire. The Pizza-line has waken up and realized that they have to score goals, otherwise they won't win any games. The Lightning got pounded by Carolina some days ago, 9-3, this is not something ordinary in the league, something is wrong. Even though the team have the likes of Lecavalier and St. Louis, they doesn't have the strenght to beat the rejuvenated Sens at their home-ice. Ottawa will win this one...

Chicago Blackhawks - Carolina Hurricanes = The Blackhawks have been really weak the last two weeks, losing to Colorado at home the last game. Weaknesses are shown.
The Hurricanes however have been on fire since they aquired Eric Cole once again. Staal, Cole and Ruttu seems to be a perfect fit, and with Ward in goal they all of a sudden seem like a team for the playoffs. If the Blackhawks are favourites here, I say there's lots of room for an upset. I pick the Hurricanes in OT..

Anaheim Ducks - Vancouver Canucks = The Vancouver Canucks have been playing surprisingly great hockey the last 10 games, even though we all know that they're a good team, I'm always surprised of what the Sedin-twins are able to show. Lacking Ducks and flying Canucks, this could be some close game with close-to-the-end-goal which could decide the outcome. Close game, I feel a draw is the most likely..

Tuesday, March 3, 2009

Games of March the 3rd

Boston Bruins - Philadelphia Flyers = This should be a very intense game, with good penalty-killing aswell as powerplay. Two very skilled teams with loads of puck-moving ability. I always talk about home-ice advantage, and I will continue to tonight. With Michael Ryder back, the Bruins could have a fierce offense. Bruins win with the lone goal..

Washington Capitals - Carolina Hurricanes = The Caps have shown big weaknesses the last ten game. The last to Florida with a blow-out perfomence by the Panthers. Even though the have slumped and the Hurricanes have been improving it's game a bit, the Caps are hard to beat at home, so I say that Washington with Ovechkin, Semin and Backstrom could end up as the winner..

Atlanta Thrashers - Florida Panthers = Neither are favourites of mine, but the strongest of the two right now is definetly the Panthers. Beating Washington away is hard, even harder with 4 goals. Atlanta lost probably their best defensively minded d-man Nicklas Havelid, this will show tonight.  I pick the Panthers as victorious..

Columbus Blue Jackets - Los Angeles Kings = This season the Blue Jackets really have picked up their game, with help of new forwards and outstanding goaltending at times. Even though the Kings with mostly their top-line as the fuel has played good games lately, but they are on a long road-trip, and this will show it's natural coourse tonight. Columbus wins with more than one goal..

Toronto Maple Leafs - New Jersey Devils = The Devils are an amazing team right now, everything points to a long play-off run, they could even end up as the winner. Their offensive is amazing, the only this they are lacking is world-class defensemen, as mentioned before Nicklas Havelid is a top-class defensemen and will definetly shut down opponents effectively. And who cannot mention Martin Brodeur, the best goalie there is, none can challenge me on that one. Toronto has been rebuilding and rejuvenating their lineup and the team is always dangerous offensively, defensively on the other hand lack of puck-moving skills, except for Kaberle.
This game could offer lots of goals, as always at the Air Canada Center, but the Devils are the better team and will play a better game, could be decisive..

Ottawa Senators - Calgary Flames = The Flames have really been on fire the last 20 games, one of the best teams in the league right now and will show the Sens from Ottawa a real battle. The Sens won't die like they used to during the first half of this season, they will put up a good fight, only if their goaltender, Auld or Elliott, alows them. The pizza line is hot and I would really like to watch this game, close game, 3-3 is my bet..

Vancouver Canucks - Minnesota Wild = The last game for the night I would like to highlight is this one. Two of the best goalies in the league, probably within top five bot of them, will show how puck-stopping is done. This is why I think this could be a very close game, I will not be surprised if this will be determined in the shootout. But right now, I feel like the Canucks are the better team..

Monday, March 2, 2009

2 of March

Colorado Avalanche at New York Islanders = This game is very uncertain, the Avalanche won the sole game this season against the Islanders at home. But at the same time they have been playing beneath the ice during the current road-trip, exceptions are wins against Detroit, Ottawa, and Washington, which aren't easy games though.
History says a low-scoring game with maybe a sole-goal winner, I say it could be Islanders..

Games of February 21st

13 games tonight, only one safe-bet I'm really comfortable with, San Jose against Atlanta, one of the best teams against one of the worst..

San Jose Sharks - Atlanta Thrashers - The big shark-tank has 87 points and the Thrashers has 48, only one player can make a difference on the Atlanta roster, Ilya Kovalchuk, but he have some big-time players who's keeping this from happening. Jumbo-Joe, Marleau, Nabokov and Boyle are those once. Weekend-game at home, maybe alot of goals, but only one winner, the Sharks..

Los Angeles Kings - Phoenix Coyotes - These teams have shown alot of weakness during this season, but the Kings should, because I think the defense and goalie is better than the Coyotes, and also home-team-advantage is a factor, be victorious..

NY Islanders - New Jersey Devils - The Devils have been amazing lately, and the Islanders haven't, that's almost all you can say about this battle. Only the boring, shut-down-playing could make this to something else than a easy two-goal win for New Jersey...

Florida Panthers - Boston Bruins - The Panthers have played surprisingly well the last couple of months, winning some tough games against good teams. This is why this could be a close battle. My favourites from Boston are always thought to win in almost every game, probably the case here aswell, but Florida has home-ice advantage, could mean business. Close game, maybe a shoot-out win for the Bruins...

Minnesota Wild - Detroit Red Wings - The red hot Red Wings haven't let me down alot of times the last couple of years, they haven't for anybody, except for the opponent. With the power-play they have shown the last few games the Wild is a team they should beat, with the help of power-play. But Minnesota always play a tight game, few goals, much because of Backstrom's exceptional goaltending, he would be a better goalie in most other teams in the league. But a victory for Detroit is the most probable outcome..

Buffalo Sabres - NY Rangers - The Sabres could have an edge here, but what is the most likely according to how the Rangers have played this season, is a tie. Few goals with even scoring could be the case...

Montreal Canadiens - Ottawa Senators - My favorite team from Ottawa has been playing some really nice hockey lately, only one loss in 7 games, impressive. But tonight the excellence of Alfie is going to be missed, but I always have hope for Heat or Spezz to flash some skills. Montreal have been terrible last 15 games, but have picked up the last two, and on home-ice, they have a good opportunity to pave some ground for the remainder of the season. The dealing of Mike Comrie and Campoli could be an ignition for the Sens. This game is a wild-card game with really good odds, tough game to predict. No Alfie could be crucial to the Sens..

Games
San Jose -Atlanta 1
Los Angeles -Phoenix 1
NY Islanders - New Jersey 2
Florida - Boston x2
Minnesota - Detroit 2
Buffalo - NY Rangers x
Montreal - Ottawa x

The 18th of February

Of tonights games I would like to highlight three of them:

Columbus Blue Jackets - St. Louis Blues: The Blue Jackets have been a better team this year than the Blues and should win on home ice.. 1

Detroit Red Wings - Nashville Predators: The ever-so amazing team from Detroit are always strong on home-ice, and with the Preds in a slump I pick the Wings as the winner with confidence.. 1

Washington Capitals - Montreal Canadiens: The Caps with red-hot Ovechkin playing like he's from another planet, will and definetly should win rather easy, with two goals.. 1

Welcome to NHL-Bet!

This is the site you have to check before you make your nhl-bets for the night, if you want to win that is..

San Jose Sharks - Edmonton Oilers = Here's the cashflow for the night, "The Tank" from San Jose put up a good battle in New Jersey sunday night, but lost with frustration. The revenge will take place against the Oilers, who actually have played decent lately, winning-streak of three, Sharks has a losing-streak of three. So why Sharks? One of the best teams in the league who hasn't won in three, they don't like this, that's why..

Carolina Hurricanes - Boston Bruins = My second favourite team in the league, after the Sens, has had some rough games lately, with players injured, but Carolina suits them well and I think that the Bruins could win with a goal, tight game..

Colorado Avalanche - Ottawa Senators = The Sens have been smoking the last five games, after the firing of Craig Hartsburg, and the initial loss. They have won away in Philadelphia, Minnesota and Nashville, and they could repeat the winning-trend against the worst team in the west, but you never know with Colorado, home-advantage is always tricky..

Florida Panthers - New Jersey Devils = The Panthers have been putting up some good games the last month, that's why they're in seventh place in the east, and home-advantage could mean better confidence against the best team in the league at this moment. One can argue the difference but they have won against Boston and San Jose, only in the last week. A tight game that could go either way, but the offensive-squad on Devils's roster is far too impressive than the Panthers, that's why I think they could end up as the winner with two goals..

Games
San Jose - Edmonton  - 1
Carolina - Boston         - 2
Colorado - Ottawa       - x2
Florida - New Jersey  -  x2

Results
San Jose - Edmonton - 5-3
Colorado - Ottawa      - 2-4

Im playing it safe this first night with San Jose, Boston and New Jersey as winners, even though the latter two are away-teams. I pick Ottawa because the want to win real bad now, and they have to win most of the games left if they want to reach the playoffs, but still, Colorado has home-advantage..
