San Jose Sharks - Edmonton Oilers = Here's the cashflow for the night, "The Tank" from San Jose put up a good battle in New Jersey sunday night, but lost with frustration. The revenge will take place against the Oilers, who actually have played decent lately, winning-streak of three, Sharks has a losing-streak of three. So why Sharks? One of the best teams in the league who hasn't won in three, they don't like this, that's why..
Carolina Hurricanes - Boston Bruins = My second favourite team in the league, after the Sens, has had some rough games lately, with players injured, but Carolina suits them well and I think that the Bruins could win with a goal, tight game..
Colorado Avalanche - Ottawa Senators = The Sens have been smoking the last five games, after the firing of Craig Hartsburg, and the initial loss. They have won away in Philadelphia, Minnesota and Nashville, and they could repeat the winning-trend against the worst team in the west, but you never know with Colorado, home-advantage is always tricky..
Florida Panthers - New Jersey Devils = The Panthers have been putting up some good games the last month, that's why they're in seventh place in the east, and home-advantage could mean better confidence against the best team in the league at this moment. One can argue the difference but they have won against Boston and San Jose, only in the last week. A tight game that could go either way, but the offensive-squad on Devils's roster is far too impressive than the Panthers, that's why I think they could end up as the winner with two goals..

Im playing it safe this first night with San Jose, Boston and New Jersey as winners, even though the latter two are away-teams. I pick Ottawa because the want to win real bad now, and they have to win most of the games left if they want to reach the playoffs, but still, Colorado has home-advantage..
